Hidden Landscapes

View from Bedford United TrailThe hidden mining landscape here in the Tamar Valley continues to catch my interest – I suspect it has something to do with the glorious autumn weather and wonderful woodland walks on my doorstep. Last week found me with friends scrambling through the rough woodland paths of the Bedford United Trail, past disused mine entrances guarded by rough wooden fences and views out over the Tamar River. Or maybe the attraction was the excellent coffee and cake at the end of the walk….

  1. You’re correct Katy, it’s an inspirational and beautiful place we live in, made even more so by the seasons colours.
Had an exceptional view as I walked along the river path yesterday, the sun was bright and shining on the opposite bank making for a perfect reflection in the still waters of the river, every colour from green to red to orange to yellow pin sharp in the water.
